Description
Hortus Nijmegen consists of a botanical garden, landscape garden and tea garden on the edge of Nijmegen. It offers space for walking, quiet enjoyment, photography, workshops and volunteer work.
History
In 2021 Hortus Nijmegen celebrated its 50th anniversary. The landscape garden was designed according to ideas of Dutch nature conservation pioneers such as Jac. P. Thijsse and Victor Westhoff.
Nature & Design
The garden shows semi-natural plant communities shaped by people and nature. Many such habitats and species are vulnerable.

According to the Herboristengilde, the botanical garden is freely accessible daily from sunrise to sunset; current hours for the tea garden and terrace are on the website.
