Description
Landgoed Schovenhorst near Putten is a wooded estate with renowned tree gardens. The NVBT describes separate collections including the Small Pinetum, Large Pinetum, Josina Park and Arboretum.
History
The estate began in 1848 when Mr J.H. Schober bought 80 hectares of heathland. The Small Pinetum was the first part; some trees are over 150 years old.

The collection mainly consists of conifers from cool and temperate regions of the northern hemisphere and is part of the National Plant Collection. The estate includes woodland, pineta, ornamental conifers and a forest tower.
