Description
Pinetum Ter Borgh is hidden in the Evertsbos between Anloo and Eext. It is a special landscape collection of conifers rather than a manicured park. From the parking area, the route leads through woodland and past Drenthe heritage towards the garden.
History
The pinetum was created in the 1950s. Stichting Pinetum Anloo manages the collection and works to preserve this specialised tree garden. Its location in the Hondsrug landscape adds extra geographical and cultural context.
Nature & Design
The collection consists of hundreds of conifers from around the world. Woodland, clearings, water and relief make the site feel like a discovery walk. Sources mention a collection of more than 400 conifers.
