Description
De Tuin van Sjef is hidden in Velp beside the Rozendaalse Beek. Its website describes how the foundation preserves the life's work of artist and naturalist Sjef van der Molen.
History
Over about thirty years Sjef van der Molen created a nature-rich garden with relief, water and habitats. After his death in 2014 volunteers continued the preservation and management of the place.
Nature & Design
The garden is small but highly layered: ponds, little waterfalls, rubble slopes, wild plants, animals and artistic elements lie close together. This makes it feel like a hidden micro-landscape.
