Description
The garden around Moco Museum is a compact sculpture garden beside Museumplein. Contemporary art stands among grass, trees and paths as an outdoor extension of the museum.
History
Moco occupies Villa Alsberg, a town villa designed by Eduard Cuypers in 1904. Since the museum opened in 2016, its outdoor space has also been used for art.
Nature & Design
Planting provides a calm setting for striking, often colourful sculptures. The selection of artworks can change, so the garden may look different on a later visit.
Visitor Information
The Moco Garden is included in a museum ticket and visited as part of the museum route. Check current opening hours and exhibitions online.
Good to Know
The museum focuses on modern, contemporary and street art; outdoors, sculpture is set against the historic villa and Museumplein.
