Description
National Tree Museum Gimborn in Doorn is a park-like arboretum of 29 hectares. Its own website lists more than 3,000 species of trees and shrubs from around the world.
History
In 2024 the museum marked one hundred years since Max von Gimborn acquired the land on which he wanted to create his arboretum. The museum calls the trees and shrubs living museum pieces.
Nature & Design
The grounds include ponds fed by seepage water from the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, kilometres of paths, views, a heath garden and seasonal flowering. The collection is both botanical and landscape-based.
