Description
Stadstuin De Groene Geest lies in Nieuw Waldeck, next to community centre De Geest. It is a large urban vegetable garden where neighbours garden together.
History
The site used to contain school gardens. In 2015, space was made for the project Jong kookt voor Oud, after which the garden grew as a neighbourhood initiative.
Nature & Design
Volunteers grow vegetables, fruit and flowers. The garden also has educational value because children and schools can learn about food and nature there.

The garden is mainly accessible when volunteers are present or during neighbourhood activities.
