Dr. Jac. P. Thijssepark is a well-known native-plant park in Amstelveen, with curving paths, banks and a rich display of indigenous flora.
History
The park was designed within the tradition of Amstelveen's heemparks. The official history names C.P. Broerse and B.J. Galjaard as designers in different phases.
Nature & Design
The park covers more than five hectares and combines water, banks, woodland-like areas and flower-rich vegetation. Its management presents Dutch plant communities in a natural way.
