Description

De Blekert is a two-hectare landscape garden containing twelve characteristic elements of the Schijndel countryside.

History

Schijndel's Nature and Environment Centre began creating the park in 1989. A further hectare, with a pond and an artificial local dune, was added in 1997.

Nature & layout

Notable plants include marsh helleborine, southern marsh orchid, cowslip and wild marjoram. A cabin with a planted roof supports educational activities.

Visitor information

From April through September the park opens on published afternoons from 13:00 to 16:00. Check the current calendar before travelling.
