Heemtuin Leiderdorp lies in the green heart of Leiderdorp. According to IVN Leidse regio, the garden shows a small piece of almost every landscape in the region. Each miniature landscape includes plants that naturally belong there.
History
The native plant garden is part of the local green network around De Houtkamp and the Persant Snoepweg. It is managed by Jasper Klapwijk, who is often present on working days. IVN Leidse regio occasionally organizes guided tours.

The garden is located on the Van Diepeningenlaan, near the junction with Persant Snoepweg. According to IVN, it is open on working days from April through October from 08:00 to 16:45 and from November through March from 08:00 to 16:00. At weekends it has limited opening from April through October, 15:00 to 16:45; in winter it is closed at weekends.
