Description
Heemtuin Sassenheim lies in the north-eastern corner of Park Rusthoff, behind the houses on Kerklaan. It is a small native-plant garden within a historic village park.
History
After the revitalisation of Park Rusthoff in 2002-2003, space was reserved for the heemtuin. In 2004 the plan for layout, path and planting was prepared.
Nature & Design
The garden shows regional wild flora, park woodland plants and stinzen flora suited to historic parks.
