Description
Hof van Eden is a small green garden park in Sportpark Middenmeer. Visitors walk past flowering gardens, greenhouses, ecologically maintained vegetable plots and wildflower fields.
History
The complex was founded in 2001 and contains 42 gardens. Some rental garden houses are intended especially for people aged sixty and over and people with disabilities.
Nature & Design
Ornamental gardens and open-ground vegetable plots lie side by side. Shrubs, flower fields and small-scale cultivation create variety and provide food for insects.
Visitor Information
The garden park opens daily to visitors from mid-April to mid-October. It is a quiet walking area; private plots are viewed from the public paths.
Good to Know
According to the municipality, the 42 gardens include 25 rental houses and 17 privately owned houses. Its social purpose is as characteristic as its planting.
