Description
The Londotuin is a native-plant garden on the Broekhuizen estate near Leersum. It shows a wide diversity of indigenous plants on matching soil types.
History
The present garden was founded in 1997. A heemtuin had existed nearby since 1972; the name refers to botanist Ger Londo.
Nature & Design
The volunteer group maintains high species diversity through lean management. The garden includes several habitats, paths and educational elements.
Visitor Information
The garden is open on Wednesday mornings year-round and also on Sunday afternoons in the summer season.
