Description
Around the IVN building De Bimd lies a nature garden of about 5,000 square metres. Roughly half is freely accessible and presents a series of Brabant landscape and garden features within a compact area.
History
The garden has developed around IVN Laarbeek's clubhouse since the late 1980s. Volunteers maintain it and use the grounds for walks, youth activities and outdoor education.
Nature & layout
Features include old poplar woodland, a pond, apiary, insect wall, pollarded willows, butterfly garden, orchard with old fruit varieties and a Tiny Forest. A nature trail links the different areas.
Visitor information
Approximately 2,500 square metres is freely accessible. Other sections can be visited during activities, public guided walks or by arrangement; announced public walks are free.
