Description
Thijsse's Hof is a historic native-plant garden in Bloemendaal, created to present the flora of the Kennemer dunes in an accessible setting.
History
The garden opened on 26 September 1925 and is named after Jac. P. Thijsse. He was closely involved in the layout and planting of the site.
Nature & Design
The garden shows dune flora and fauna in a carefully managed landscape with paths, open areas, woodland edges and water. Its focus is on species native to South Kennemerland.
